History taking for medical students

Your resident will give you information about the patient and say, well he is being admitted for pneumonia. Your job is not to start from there. Because this is a game, you need to start not from pneumonia, but from where the patient’s started off.

So let’s say the patient came in with a chief complaint of shortness of breath.

You need to do a history that is specific for shortness of breath.
