Knot tying: Two hand tie

Are you a medical student who needs to learn the two handed tie for your surgery rotation? Don’t fear.

First, some basics:

– Before learning any other skill in surgery, you should try to master the two-hand tie and instrument tie.

– The basic position of the two-hand tie is in the C position.

– You form the C using your thumb and index finger

– For each throw, the suture will alternate over the thumb and then the index finger
