My usual SICU signout

My usual SICU signout

I’ve been in the SICU for awhile now. My usual signout to night float goes something like this.

“This is a 45 year old male who had an MVC rollover 2 days ago. He has a C4 fracture, is in a Miami-J, a left femur fracture in traction, and pulmonary contusions. His vent settings are pressure control, 12 over 5. His last ABG on this gas was 7.42/39/89/23/-2.  He is still on phenylephrine at 0.2. Anticipated problems include agitation. The plan is to take him to the OR tomorrow for definitive treatment by Ortho. ”

My question to me is: Can you share what you say during signout?
