SEPTEMBER SUBLET WANTED NEAR MOFFITT:
I am a clean, quiet, organized, and very respectful 4th year Harvard Medical Student looking for a one month sublet for September near Moffitt (preferably in walking distance since I will not have a car or bike). I am doing a visiting medical student rotation there from 8/30 – 9/27 and would like to either rent a sublet for that month or swap with a medical student who is doing a visiting student rotation at Harvard that month (I live near BWH, BIDMC, Children’s, and the shuttle to MGH).
Please email me at dbp215@gmail.com if you have something for me!

Hi,
I have a room available for summer sublet available in Cole Valley neighborhood, about 12 minute walk to UCSF Parnassus (main campus) and hospitals.
Dates: July 1st (a few days earlier ok) to Aug 23rd – 7 week duration, but I’m flexible and can take 5-6 weeks subleter.
Room in a beautiful 3 bedroom Cole Valley apartment, the sunny and beautiful neighborhood on other side of UCSF Parnassus (main campus), shared with other med students. It’s a Loft apartment is very new, granite countertop kitchen, views of golden gate park, golden gate bridge, next to two other parks, Haight-Ashbury, all furnished, big screen TV, cable, wireless etc. Room comes fully furnished and so does the apartment.
Lots of coffee shops, eateries within a block, and the Cole Valley neighborhood is pretty hip and great summer home. N-Judah train (to downtown SF) is a block away and two other bus lines within two blocks. Two other roommates are first year med students, girls, looking for a girl sublet. I’m asking for $950 a month, which subsidized compared to normal rent. This is relatively negotiable. We have shared utilities (water, cable and wireless internet) runs ~ $40 month.
Email me for pictures and more info
Preference for UCSF/med school affiliated folks, but will consider anyone with good references. Females preferred.

Gorgeous Summer Sublet in Cole Valley available June 28- August 16 (dates flexible), $950/month, all utilities included.
I live in a big house with a large bedroom on the top floor, with a bedroom view of Buena Vista Park. Room is fully furnished with a queen bed, desk, dresser, and huge closet with tons of shelves and hanging space. I share a bathroom with one female, who is often out of town.
The entire entry-level floor is an open living space with hardwood floors, couches, TV, dining table, and open kitchen. We’re on a hill with an awesome view. Laundry is in the house; no quarters needed. Roommates are very down to earth, clean, quiet professionals (law school grad, doctor, computer programmer), and I’m a female med student.
The 6-bus is around the corner, and gets you to UCSF in 7 minutes. 43-bus is also down the street. The N-Judah is down the hill (less than 10min). Tons of shopping and restaurants on both Haight St and Cole.
I love the house, but I’m going abroad for the summer and would love to sublet to a female, neat, non-smoker.
Email for more info: erinc21@gmail.com — I have pics!

Hi I am a MS4 from Colorado that will be doing an EM rotation at UCSF from 8/31-9/27 and I am in need of housing. The rotation is primarily at SFGH, so I would like as close to there as possible. I will likely be driving out there (haven’t quite made up my mind), so parking would be a big plus.

I would like to advertise a room-for-rent in the house in which I live. Here are a few specs:
It is a spiffy, newly-renovated 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house. I have furnished the common spaces (knives, forks, tables, TV, etc.). There are a washer and dryer in the basement and a back yard!
There is unlimited and free parking. No need to move your car, ever (street cleaning is a pain in the butt for those unacquainted with the joys of inner sunset parking).
It is under a 10 minute commute to school by bike (my main mode of transport), though it is a bit of haul back uphill (15-20 minutes, depending on how fast you want to go…
. It takes 15 minutes to get to school by bus and walking, and the bus (36 Teresita) stops right across the street from the house. To get back home, you can either bus it back or take the free Aldea shuttle to Aldea and walk from there (not so sure about this timing, but maybe 20 minutes). Walking takes 30 minutes and goes through the Sutro forest, which is quite nice. Of course, if you have a car, you can always try to drive to school, but parking is either difficult or expensive (in the UCSF garages).
I currently live with a friend of mine from high school, David. We are pretty chill and nonabrasive.
The address is:
1 Olympia Way
San Francisco, CA 94131
The house is in the Twin Peaks neighborhood, south of school and up in the eucalyptus-forested hills.
This place is great for people who have cars and people who plan to bike to school. I’ve greatly enjoyed being in a really nice place. It’s hard to find places closer to school that aren’t either expensive or run-down. Also, if you like playing Wii, this is the place to be.
Rent for next year will likely fall, and it will probably be in the $600-800 range.

Hello!
We are looking for a fourth person to share our lovely home in Bernal. The available room is good sized, has hardwood floors, and a built-in armoir, plus stand alone closet. Rent is 675 per month plus 40-60 per month in utilities (winter = brrr = heat = $$) and we’d like someone to move in by 7/15 latest. There is no storage space in this apartment, unfortunately, just the closet space in the room. There is room for a bicycle outside, though.
The house in general is light and airy — big sunny kitchen, hardwood floors, etc. The kitchen is flooded with sunshine in the morning and the living room gets it in the afternoon.
Other perks:
*yard and a garden outside
* washer/dryer
* dishwasher
* dsl
* occasional baked goods and shared wine!
We are three women (late thirties) and one sweet-as-honey eleven year old boy. (So you’d have to like being around kids, obviously.) We’re into art, theater, film, reading, writing, eating, and every so often some good old trash talkin’ over a glass of vino (or without). We’re allergic to pets with hair, and also drugs and drama. We enjoy the possibility of an impromptu household dinner every once in a while. We lead relatively busy lives — usually outside of the house, but have friends, other kids, etc. over to the house at times. All in all we’re really pretty low-key and the house is roomy enough to never feel crowded.
Street parking is fairly easy in Bernal and there is plenty of public transit nearby.
There are pictures online at Craiglist http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sfc/roo/1248064052.html.

Summer Sublet huge room in great location!
Attention subletters!!!
I love my room and will miss it greatly. Buuuuuuuuuut Im moving out to live with some friends and am forced to give it up to a worthy subletter! I’m on a tight timeline and would LOVE LOVE LOVE to have my room occupied by July 15th, so I AM WILLING TO NEGOTIATE THE PRICE AND THE LENGTH OF TIME YOU SUBLET. The room will be available July 15th through the end of September, but you could occupy it for less (1 month or two?) or possibly longer than that time period if you and the other roommates decided to sign another lease.
The room:
HUGE (approx 15 X 15ft)
- beautiful hardwood floors
- ample light
- serene green and white paint
- super high ceiling
- heating vent that makes the room super toasty in the cold, but easily closes up during hot weather
The rest of the house:
-hardwood floors throughout
-huge living room with classic bay windows, TV, DVD player, cable, etc
-great kitchen with marble countertops, gas stove, recycling, and compost
-washer and dryer (so you never need coins!)
-split bathroom
-awesome location, literally across the street from UCSF, 2 blocks from golden gate park, and 1 block from Irving street where you can find tons of shops and any type of food you want. It’s nice and quiet on our street but so easy to find something to do!
-420 Friendly (but not required! ha)
-1 GARAGE PARKING spot which has saved my life so many times
-2 fabulous roommates (1 girl, 1 guy UCSF students who are clean, friendly, and easy to get along with / not around all the time)
Again, RENT IS $950/mo and the sublet is available from July 15th through the end of September. I’m willing to negotiate both of those things.
Give me a call if interested and I’ll be happy to show the place! 310.923.8819 (Lizzy)

Sublet needed for August near Parnassus Campus
Hi, I am a visiting medical student who will be coming to UCSF to do an elective at the Parnassus Campus for the month of August. I would be interested in any sublet that would be within walking distance or easy public transportation, as I will not have access to a car or bike.

I have an awesome 1-bedroom at Mission Bay campus I’d like to sublet from 7/22-8/21 (dates may be flexible). High floor, lots of light, granite countertops, large bathroom. I’m asking $1200/month (or best offer) for everything (including TV, electricity, phone, internet) or $300/week. This is considerably less than what I pay so it’s a great apt really.
Especially great access to SFGH and Mt. Zion with the shuttles. Parnassus shuttle too obviously. Parking available for additional $60.
E-mail if interested, have questions or want photos.
Best, Andrea.

$1070 Room For Rent in Large 2BR/1BA in Vibrant Cole Valley
Room for rent in a large 2 bedroom 1 bath in Cole Valley starting the first of September. If you’re unfamiliar with the neighborhood it’s an awesome couple of blocks close to UCSF, Golden Gate Park, and Haight St. Pretty much everything you need is within a two block radius and it’s super safe. There is a grocery store, bars, and several cafes and restaurants. If you need more, funky Haight Ashbury is only a few blocks away and the N-Line runs right down the street to take you to the financial district.
The apartment is the top unit in a two story building and is carpeted throughout. There is a very large furnished living room, furnished kitchen area, and lots of closet space. The Kitchen and bathroom have been recently remodeled. The bedroom has a great view over the panhandle and Golden Gate park. There’s a washer and drier in the garage and also a grill in the well kept backyard/garden.
I’m a 28 year old working professional guy. I’m pretty busy during the week, but definitely up for going out on the weekends. I’m into music, shows, hiking, hanging out, etc. I’m an easy going guy, but I would like the apartment to remain clean (especially the kitchen and bathroom areas).
I’m looking for a 20 something responsible person to share the place with me. Please be financially stable, considerate, and willing to compromise. We would split the bills down the middle. Credit reports are a plus. No couples or pets, sorry.
Please include the following information in your e-mail:
1. Name
2. Age
3. Occupation or career
4. Phone number
5. Tell me a little about yourself. I want to get along with my new roommate.

Beautiful, furnished, two bedroom flat in the heart of Cole Valley (great weather!). This flat is ideal for a medical resident/family new to SF or a professional couple commuting to the financial district: 14 minutes on the Metro (and 20 minutes to the ball park). Gourmet kitchen, washer/dryer, hardwood floors, gas fire-place, a southern facing sunroom with a deck that overlooks an amazing garden. Close to Golden Gate Park, grocery, restaurants, cafes and major bus lines. 8 blocks to UCSF with great commute connections to Stanford and Berkeley. Available August 1. Hello! I’m a female 4th yr med student from USF in tampa, I will be doing an externship at UCSF in pediatrics and am looking to sublet a furnished bedroom from Aug 29 – Sept 26. I’m a non-smoker social drinker who is responsible and neat. If you’re dog friendly I am entertaining the idea of bringing my 2 year old, house trained, incredibly sweet shih-tzu. If pets are deal breaker I can leave her in Fl.
I’m pretty low maintenance, and am just looking for a place in a safe neighborhood, preferable with sane female roomates! I promise I’m not a weirdo, perhaps a tad goofy. If you have more questions don’t hesitate to ask, f-book friend me if you like.

Hi – I’m Evan from OHSU in Portland. I’m doing a peds endocrine rotation just for 8/15-8/28. If you have an open apartment, room, or even a couch, let me know. Close to the Parnassus campus is better than far away, but I’m flexible. I’m a clean guy and will probably be at the hospital most of the time anyway. Email is better than cell. Thanks.

Hey all, I am a fourth year medical student from the University of Oklahoma. I am going to be doing a visiting student elective in Psychiatry at UCSF. I will at the SFVA Hospital (Outter Richmond area, Baker Beach/Presidio) from 8/31 until 9/27. I am looking for a sublet or lease for the month. I am clean, open-minded, laid back, and have spent a lot of time in the bay area so I am pretty familiar with things. Close to transportation would be awesome, but I am open to all offers!

Hi everyone. I will be leaving San Francisco for the month of August (08/01-08-30), and I’m putting my room up for sublet. Rent will be $710 + utilities. The room will be furnished (full bed, desk, bookshelf, dresser, etc). There are three other housemates : two MS4s and one surgery intern, all very friendly (so you should be too). Large kitchen, large living room, and the bathroom will be shared with two others. Parking, laundry, and wireless internet all available. 15 minute walk to Parnassus, close proximity to several Muni lines, including #36/43/44, which take you to the Forest Hill Station to go downtown. *9/19-10/16 1 bedroom sublet – $1200/month*
I’m doing an away rotation and have an awesome 1-bedroom at Mission Bay campus I’d like to sublet from 9/19-10/16 (I may leave a few days earlier). It’s got high floors, lots of light, granite countertops, a large bathroom. I’m asking $1200/month (or best offer) for everything (including TV, electricity, phone, internet) or $350/week. This is considerably less than what I pay so it’s a great apt really.
Especially great access to SFGH and Mt. Zion with the shuttles. Parnassus shuttle too obviously. Parking available for additional $60.
E-mail if interested, have questions or want photos.

The unit has hardwood floors throughout; laundry is in the unit, coin operated. The building is also occupied by UCSF students/staff. The lease will be one year, starting Sept 1 2009 to 2010. Rent is $970, and utilities/internet come out to about $25-45 a month depending on the weather.

Looking for a room…
Hey Team. My name is Chas. I’m an entering medical student looking for a room for the year anywhere near campus. I know very little of SF. I’m looking for a room in a house or apartment with a couple friendly housemates and preferably a backyard. I’m from a little town in the mountains of Colorado and I’m a medical anthropologist. I’ve been on an island in the middle of Lake Victoria all summer working on an ethnography of HIV/AIDS in Western Kenya and haven’t had a minute to work on housing yet. Personal details, hmm: I love to cook vegetarian, I have to get out into the mountains every few weeks, and I like to brew beer. If you know anyone looking for to fill a final room spot please drop me a line.

I’m moving out of my Bernal Heights home, and leaving a nice room open in case anyone is interested… It is just a couple minutes from SFGH, in the sunniest neighborhood in the city, next to lots of great shops and food. A couple blocks away from the Mission in a much nicer neighborhood
The house has a great big sunny kitchen and a shared living room space. There is a washer/dryer, dishwasher, backyard with garden. Also easy street parking and lots of local transportation.
There are 3 women in their 30s who live in this home. One of them has a sweet 10yo son who is there part time. The available room is small, has hardwood floors, two windows, and a stand alone closet. If anyone is interested in buying the bed, desk and bookshelf that is in the room off of me, I am willing to let them go cheap. Rent is $650 per month plus 30-60 per month in utilities and room is available anytime between now and September 8th. The roommates are open to temporary and sublet situations.

Hi!
I am looking for a place from Sep-Jan.
I am a 4th year medical student doing a research internship at UCSF from Sep 1 through Jan 31st. I am looking for a furnished room for some or all of that time period, preferably close to the UCSF Parnassus campus.
I am a really easy-going person, responsible and have had a lot of experience with roommates! I am new to the SF area and have been out here for about 2 months now and love it! I really like being outdoors (hiking, running). Aside from that, I am pretty low-key, love trying new restaurants and meeting new people! I don’t smoke or do drugs.
If you have a sublet available, please feel free to contact me (nisreenm@umich.edu).
Looking forward to hearing from you!

I am a 3rd year UCSF med student, and I’ll be away most of Sept. I have a room available in a 3 bedroom Victorian flat in the Mission District, and there will only be one other person here most of the time in Sept and one cat. My roommate is mid-30’s man, works in elder-care facility, very clean/quiet/friendly.
Dates are flexible, rent is $750 (utilities included), room is 11′x11′. Tons of light, great neighborhood, laundry in the unit, dishwasher, wireless internet, basic cable, good sized kitchen, dining room and common space. Very close to restaurants/coffee shops, grocery store 1 block away.
It is about 10 min walk to SF General Hosp where there is a reliable shuttle every 20min to Parnassus. The place is also a 5 min walk to BART and very close to other transportation. If you have questions, I am happy to give more info about the place. Thanks for looking!

One room for rent in a beautiful, newly-renovated 3BR apartment in Cole Valley/Haight Ashbury. Available Oct 1st.
We’ve lived here for a year, and love the place (apparently everyone who comes over here does, too – it’s very unique, a converted loft). The kitchen appliances are new, landlord is great, furniture is classy because one of us has great taste. The available room is spacious, with a window that gets plenty of light (southern exposure). There is a pretty big closet, and enough room for the typical bedroom furniture. There is also the option of having the room furnished (our old roommate is moving into a furnished place, and is looking to sell some things).
Utilities are split 3-ways. There’s a Laundromat right around the corner. Several bus lines–6, 43, 33, 71–and the N-Judah are all very close. Walking distance to UCSF Parnassus Campus, two blocks from the Haight, one block from Cole Valley. If you’re into parks, we’re a block from Buena vista and a few blocks from GG Park.
As for us, we’re both east coast transplants in our second year of med school at UCSF. We’re both pretty social and enjoy having a few people over for a drinks, movie, dinner, and also like exploring the city. We do the med school thing, and we like it, but we don’t study 24/7. Basically, we like balance.
So if you’re looking for a great apartment and think you’d get along with us, please respond.
No pets allowed – sorry!

Hello! We are a married couple both doing rotations at UCSF from 9/28 – 10/24, and are looking for a sublet for part or all of that time. We’re happy to sublet a whole apartment or a room in an apartment. We’re pretty quiet, non-smokers, no pets, and are open to any reasonable possibilities! Please email me at hiniker@umich.edu if you know of anything.
Thanks very much! Susie

Hello,
My roommates and I are moving out of our 4 bedroom apartment on 4th avenue between Irving and Hugo. The apartment has a kitchen with stove and fridge, W/D in the basement (coin operated), and 5 rooms. We paid $3000/month and split between 4 people, but it could also be used as a 3 bedroom with two extra rooms. It is a real 4 bedroom as 4 of the rooms have large closets. The rooms are large and bright, two have bay windows. There are two full bathrooms also. We have kept the place very clean and well-maintained.
Please email me if you are interested. We have given our one month’s notice and wanted to make it available to UCSF students first. The apartment will not be listed on the market until Oct.

I am a 3rd year UCSF med student, and I’ll be away in Oct. I have a room available in a 3 bedroom Victorian flat in the Mission District, and there will only be one other person here most of the time and one cat.
Thanks!

I’m looking for either a single room from Nov 2nd to the 26th or a 2 room from Oct 26th-Nov 25th. We’re even a little flexible with those dates as we know some people we can crash with for a few days if need be. We don’t need a luxury apt, just a place to sleep for the month. APRIL SUBLET WANTED NEAR UCSF PARNASSUS:
Hi, I’m a 4th year Harvard Medical Student looking for a one month sublet for April. I’ll be doing a visiting rotation at UCSF Parnassus from 3/29-3/23 and would like to rent a sublet for the month or swap with someone doing a visiting rotation at Harvard (I live in Cambridge with easy public transportation access to all the major hospitals).
Please email me at ishani.ganguli@gmail.com if you have any leads, thanks!

Hello,
Large, furnished room for rent in March and possibly April 2010. I am a 4th year UCSF med student who will be doing an away rotation at that time. My apartment is at 6th and Judah, 3.5 blocks from the main hospital. Rent is $975 + utilities.
Email iris.ma@ucsf.edu with questions.

I have a spacious studio/in-law in Noe Valley. Large kitchen with access to the garden and great garden view. The apartment has a living room/bedroom, kitchen, washer/dryer, and is fully furnished. All utilities are included, with WiFi and cable as well. I will be living back in Southern California through April, hence, I am looking for a subletter. There is plenty of street parking, and you will be 2 blocks from all the amazing shops, restaurants, coffee shops, and whole foods on 24th street. It is also less than a block from all public transport, making it very easy to get around the city, UCSF, without a car.
I pay more than what I have listed, but am asking for $1150 a month (includes all utilities).

Bedroom available April 1 in 2bedroom/1bath apartment. $840/month plus $950 deposit
Unfortunately my roommate is being sent to LA for her Pharmacy
rotations starting mid-March to early April and I need a new
roommate. I live in 2 bedroom 1 bath apartment in a quiet 4 unit-
apartment complex on 20th Ave between Irving and Judah. There is a
spacious furnished living room and furnished kitchen. The unit is
very close to Highway 1/19th Ave, 2 blocks from Golden Gate Park,
close to transportation, restaurants, stores, post office, etc.
About me: I’m a couple of months from starting 4th year of med school, outgoing,
very active and studious. I like to have a clean apartment- at least
the common living space- and prefer a non-smoker, female (but open to
guys) and am hoping for another student but if you know of anyone who
is trustworthy and responsible please pass this on. Sorry but no pets
allowed.
Rent is $840/month plus 1/2 utilities (DirectTV, PG&E, internet).
Deposit is $950. Move in date is April 1, but can be negotiated to
start as soon as March 20th if needed.
Thanks,
Diana

Hi, I am a second year medical student who will be leaving town from March 8 to May 1st. I am looking to sublet my in-law garden apartment at 2nd and Hugo for 1400/month. That includes utilities and it is fully furnished. It is all yours–a bedroom, living room, kitchen, and bathroom all to yourself. Parking is pretty easy in the neighborhood, and you may be able to negotiate with the landlord to use the garage. The price is negotiable–it is more important for me to find the right tenant than to recoup the entire loss. This is perfect for a visiting medical student, visiting researcher, etc. as it is only a block and half from UCSF Parnassus. 1/2 a block from Golden Gate Park, close to Haight Ashbury, Cole Valley, 9th Street, etc. The N-Judah picks up 1 block away and can take you downtown. It is a cute, quiet little street. Please e-mail me if you are interested and I would be happy to send pictures, etc. I am hoping to sublet it for the duration of the time I am gone but if you only want to sublet for part of that time please e-mail me anyway!
thanks!

Beautiful, furnished, 1-bedroom, top-floor flat Feb 7-Feb 27 $79 per day or $1500 for the whole time!
My AMAZING apartment is located in the inner Sunset/Golden Gate Heights area. It’s a 15min walk to UCSF and 10 minutes to 9th and Irving and Golden Gate Park. There is close public transit and the N-Judah is a 5-10 min walk. Also the Forest Hill Muni station is only 10 min and has 3 lines that are all underground (quick to downtown, about 10min).
The apartment is about 900sq feet with a huge bedroom, separate dining room, an office/living room. The apartment is a top floor flat with carpet, high ceilings, and crown molding. There are several windows in each room, so there is always a lot of light (even on a foggy day). The apartment receives Eastern light in the dining and living rooms and the bedroom (which faces the back) receives Western light.
The apartment is fully furnished in style! Bathroom has a separate large tub and shower with great pressure and plenty of hot water since the unit has its own water heater. The kitchen is loaded with supplies, a dishwasher, microwave, toaster, gas range and oven, blender, and a coffee maker. The bedroom comes with a really comfortable CAL KING bed, a dresser, bookshelf, and a vanity. The bedroom walk-in closet is quite large. The dining room comes with a maple formal dining table and chairs. The living room has new couches and chairs and an entertainment center with a TV, DVD, VCR, and cable. The office (part of the living room) has cable Internet and a sleek L-shaped desk. Downstairs there is a shared yard and your own full-size WASHER and DRYER. The neighborhood has plenty of non-permit parking.
Rent is $1500 the whole time or $79/day and includes cable internet, water, and trash. There is a deposit and Gas and electricity use will be your responsibility. I would like to rent out the place the entire sublet period, but I will rent out for less time if it works out for both of us.
I am looking for quiet and responsible sublet. Since this is a nice, quiet neighborhood I am hoping for someone who doesn’t party (at least not at home). I will entertain all offers, so if you like what you read and see, please send me an email!

Can I borrow your car for $?
I am a 3rd year about to go to Fresno for a 6-week rotation, March 1-April 9. I need a car during that time, and would reimburse you to rent your car for 6 weeks. I would not use it very much, just to get down there and back once and then just local drives to the hospital, and would take very good care of it. I thought it would be worth a shot to post this in case you are going abroad or won’t be needing your car for some other reason for 6 weeks and wanted to make a bit of money off it.
Thanks!
Monica
